The killer ceviche, excellent chicken-and-pork tamales and addictive papas rellenas (crispy potatoes stuffed with ground meat, egg, olives and herbs) are all filling enough that you need never leave the entradas section of the menu. Main dishes like tacu tacu, a rice-and-bean dish topped with beef, lamb stew or breaded steak, can tilt the scale from hearty to downright heavy. Instead, go crazy with the tasty appetizers and then move straight on to dessert: The humitas, a warm raisin-dotted corn tamale, is just sweet enough, and the cherimoya ice cream is cooler than a tropical breeze.
