Don’t judge this place by its humble facade; the food is fit for a king. But you don’t need to be a bigwig to dine on chef-owner Ivy Lin’s masterful interpretations of Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisines. Standouts among the homestyle Chinese dishes are succulent Taipei pork chops, curry-specked mai fun (rice vermicelli), and stir-fried beef and delicate strips of scallion in tea sauce. Sushi is fresh and generously portioned and, on the Thai menu, the simple pancakelike roti canai is a flaky dream.
