So this is what Mona Lisa was smiling about. –In La Gioconda’s intimate, warm dining room, overseen by a portrait of Leonardo da Vinci, you can dig into appetizers such as refreshing arugula salad with shaved Parmesan and a lemon vinaigrette. Grilled eggplant slices rolled with goat cheese, then topped with mozzarella and chopped tomatoes, were flavorful, if a bit tough; thick bands of homemade pappardelle with a lamb ragù are hearty. You may leave here with a mysteriously happy look on your face.
