Partners Todd Johnson and Emeka Okafor spent more than 15 months transforming this former dry-cleaning shop into a quaint café. Hanging plants and bookcases frame two big picture windows, eclectic paintings and photographs line the walls, and a blend of Miles Davis and dance tunes make the spot a welcome alternative to neighborhood roti shops and fast-food chains. On the brief menu: chicken crêpes in a tangy yellow curry sauce, and roasted salmon with a honey-mustard glaze and couscous, which you can pair with whatever your heart desires—from the liquor store. Le Café is BYOB.
