This unobtrusive restaurant has muted-yellow walls, carefully placed botanical drawings and lace curtains that shield diners from the gray landscape of Cleveland Place. The menu is short on spice and surprise, but long on hearty staples such as country pâté, bouillabaisse and steak frites. It’s worth a visit—even in the months when the breathtaking back garden, a cobblestoned secret with grapevine-covered trellises, is closed.
