Prolific pâtissier Eric Kayser headed midtown for the third NYC location of his global bakery chain, bringing his famed baguettes and brioche to Columbus Circle. Along with breads and pastries, the satellite features French bistro staples (steak tartare, croque-madame), as well as a coffee station, a juice and smoothie bar, and an expanded takeout section of sandwiches, soups and salads.

If you are looking for an authentic French bakery, there is no need to travel overseas. Maison Kayser is the real deal and what sets this bakery apart is the attention to detail, commitment to providing exceptional products, and the use of a natural leavening agent in baked goods. The fresh-baked bread is phenomenal with varieties like baguettes, cheese bread, fig bread, and even chick pea bread. Of course they bake gluten-free bread as well. The pastries are rich, buttery, and truly indulgent. There is also a fantastic selection of cakes, cookies, quiche, salads, and sandwiches. This is not the place to go if you are counting calories!


Amazing brunch. I loved the salmon tartare and the sweet nutella one with strawberries as well. Also love the mocaccino if you're on the go. It gets busy on the weekend so I recommend getting there a little early, around 11:30 to snag a table without waiting too long.
