Sliders are the specialty at this East Village restaurant. Meat ground in house forms the patties, which come in two varieties: with bacon or without. Simple toppings include American cheese and fried Vidalia onions. For sweet tooths, milk shake flavors range from Guinness to cola, and mini seasonal fruit pies will be baked daily.

$2 sliders??? UM YES. I'm always looking for cheap eats around the city and while $1 pizza is awesome, sometimes a girl needs some protein! Enter Mark. Located in my favorite neighborhood the East Village, Mark has alcohol with other beverage offerings to satisfy your thirst. There's also a bar like menu for some grub too. I opted for the famous $2 sliders and while I was at it, I was gonna get me some cheese fries. Now, with cheese fries, I'm very particular about what type of cheese is used. I love me some liquid nacho cheese. Not a slice of american or cheddar or what have you melted on top. NO. I want that yummy molten nacho cheese. Upon reasurrance from the server that this was said yummy nacho cheese with the added kick of some herbs, I opted for em. While the slider was good, this was NOT the cheese fries I was looking for. It wasn't that bad. It was liquid cheese but not nacho. I couldn't pinpoint which cheese because it was mixed with all sorts of herbs but I wasn't having it. I ate half because fries go with a burger, but if you're like me, don't get the cheese fries. Stick with the good ol', budget friendly sliders.

I have recently been introduced to many burgers in NYC thanks to my friends who are known for being burger experts by restaurants, TV networks and consumers. They took me to Mark explaining this was the best, and only, real slider in the city. Many people call "mini" burgers sliders, but Mark actually makes a proper one. The meat melts in your mouth, the bun is unlike anything I've ever experience and the fries are the perfect pairing for whatever flavor you choose. My friend recommended the turkey burger (you can order multiple types since they are small) but I high recommend sticking with the beef! If you want an authentic burger experience, don't waste your time going anywhere else!
