While the neighborhood around Franklin Avenue seems to be expanding every day, quality restaurants are still lacking in the area. Mayfield is the one, solid restaurant that I frequent again and again for delicious dinners (try the burger, fish & chips and the pork chop) and weekend brunch. With a great drink list and friendly servers, there's no doubt that this is the best restaurant option in the neighborhood.
Mayfield is a lovely spot. It brings a really nice atmosphere to the Franklin Ave restaurant scene and sticks out from the group for the sheer quality of the food. It really is quite delicious! The inside has a really great vibe and you feel very welcome as soon as you walk in. The staff is very friendly and the service is exceptional. They have a good selection of craft beers and wines which go well with the food. As a Crown Heights resident I plan to be a frequent visitor to Mayfield and will recommend it to all my friends.
