New Jersey brothers Peter and Danny Aggelatos flip Neapolitan-style pies topped with Brooklyn Grange produce at this 30-seat joint. Wood-fired crusts are topped with creative combos like spicy sopressata and thyme honey; and brussels sprouts, farm egg and truffle oil. House-made country bread serves as the foundation for crostini slathered in ramp butter or spring-onion compote. The beer list also skews seasonal, highlighting American sips from Dogfish Head, Victory Brewing Company and Firestone.

Rustic cafe with the best pizza's and meatballs. Nice staff. Backyard terrace. The real deal!

I'm a born and raised Brooklynite, so naturally I'm very protective about my pizza. It's one of the foods I'm most critical about and I believe the best pizza does in fact come from Brooklyn.

...However, I've been to Milkflower several times now and I always love going back. I try to eat here every time I'm in Astoria. The apps are great, everything is reasonably priced, the atmosphere both inside and out is friendly and warming, and the pizzas are on point. Just make sure you order two.
