The team behind Williamsburg's Bozu expands with this laid-back sushi spot, outfitted with communal tables and rustic tin ceilings. In addition to the usual maki and Japanese small plates (Asian short ribs, sushi-rice croquettes), Momo also offers sushi "bombs"—round scoops of rice topped with fish.

Momo Sushi has a unique take on rolls (especially seeing that they have their signature sushi bombs - go for the McLow). the ingredients are always fresh, and service is impeccable. During winter it feels like a warm, well oiled bunker, and during Summer the large windows are open to let the breeze flow through. And, of course, Phil is always somewhere nearby waiting to greet you.
If you're looking for a good sushi spot in East Williamsburg, Momo is the place. Just down the street from the Morgan Ave L stop, it's super easy to get to. Momo is a neighborhood hit and a go to sushi joint for locals. Start with some edamame, then, try the sushi bombs and wash it down with some saki or Japanese beer!
They have gf soy sauce, you'll need to ask for it. Overall, this is a very gf friendly location.
