O Cafe
O Cafe
This sunny shop brings direct-trade Brazilian coffee to the West Village. The sustainable, 14-stool storefront—outfitted in reclaimed wood and eco-friendly LED lighting—pays homage to the country's bean culture with pour-over drinks, espresso and chocolate bars, plus a map pinpointing these items' origins. Pair your cup with one of the traditional pastries, including pão de mel (a spiced honey bread) and pão de queijo (cheese buns), all made in house.

Best alfajores (Argentinian pastry/dessert cookie loaded with dulce de leche and shaved coconut) in the city, but it's a 50/50 shot if they have them in stock. Also great: the cucumber sandwich.
