Turning Dumbo's Water Street into Sugar Row, this 32-seat bakeshop—a spin-off of the Cobble Hill original—joins pastry standouts Almondine and Jacques Torres on the block. Wife-and-husband team Dawn Casale and David Crofton turn out homestyle treats, like whoopie pies, cupcakes and sandwich cookies.

A local favorite! Regular stops for coffee, the occasional quiche or breakfast sandwich in the morning (it's different on different days) and definitely the whoopie pies on a Sunday. The coffee can vary a fair amount between baristas so make sure you're specific about hot, warm, weak or strong!
One of my mandatory stops during every Dumbo walk! This place has very good whoopie pies, I really recommend the pumpkin ones, they're the best! Coffee and chai tea are also good.
