Time Out says

Everything about this quaint West Village bistro whispers romance, but if you arrive around 6pm, before the lights dim and couples start canoodling over cocktails and oysters, you'll find a friendly family spot as well as one of the best deals in town. For $7, children get a generous entrée, such as crispy popcorn shrimp with a heaping pile of fries or penne with a tangy tomato sauce, a soft drink and a scoop of gelato topped with whipped cream for dessert. If you grab one of the window tables, the kids will be entertained by the passing parade of humanity on Hudson Street, which means parents can sit back and canoodle all they want.

Came here for a glass of wine after a long week & it was just what I needed. For starters they had a large selection for wine lovers. The mussels were amazing!!! So much so I regretted saying I'd share. Thankfully we ordered a second round of mussels w/a second round of drinks. The bartender was nice enough that when I mentioned i was undecided b/w wines he offered to let me sample them to help me make my decision. Downstairs there's a beautiful room that is used for small parties that made me want to come every night so I can attempt to crash it!! A great spot for a date or for girlfriends to catch up. A quick walk to the Meat Packing District if you decide you want to take part of the nite life that MPD is famous for.
