This handsome Italian bistro, from the owners of local spots Bar Toto and Bar Tano, has the makings of a Park Slope classic. Simple preparations and top-notch ingredients dominate chef Antonio Morichini’s appealing menu: Seared duck breast accompanied by a port-wine reduction and fresh blueberries is served alongside walnut mashed potatoes and slivers of caramelized onion. Tagliata—a rib-eye steak presented over a bed of bitter, balsamic-dressed radicchio and arugula—is showered with flecks of Parmesan and whole green peppercorns. The charming staff treats customers like family—fitting, given the kid-friendly vibe.
