A convivial well-heeled crowd looks resplendent in the peachy light from alabaster sconces at this Upper East Side favorite. Like the colorful old lithos adorning the walls, the menu is authentic bistro. Saucisson Lyonnaise, confit-laden cassoulet and chicory salad with diced lardons share the stage with spot-on steak frites. You’re less likely to encounter foie gras here than humble chicken livers sautéed with mushrooms and red wine.
