Time Out says

Colorful and casual Puerto Rican eatery in the Lower East Side

With a name that translates to "how fantastic", this restaurant has quite a lot to live up to. Nevertheless, Que Chevere's cult following will reassure you that this is somewhere to get excited about. Developed by Mike, an LES OG, this vibrant spot is an homage to his Puerto Rican heritage and family, inspired by his father-in-law's ability to use food as a way of bringing people together.

The first brick-and-mortar location offers build-your-own platos for when you can’t make up your mind, plus there's signature bowls, mofongos, and platters that are sure to leave you feeling stuffed. Our tip? Make sure to order the potato salad, it's a deliciously decadent side.

Que Chevere says
Que Chevere is a concept developed by Mike, an LES OG, as an homage to his Puerto Rican heritage and family. Inspired by Michael’s father-in-law, Manuel Chevere, the restaurant represents his infectious spirit for cooking, and his ability to use food as a vehicle to bring people together.

Que Chevere is located in The Market Line and a portion of all proceeds are donated to fund Autism Awareness.
