This Chinatown shop’s unassuming Grand Street facade gives way to unexpected futurism: soft orange booths and hanging globes. The shabu-shabu consumed underneath is an adventure in experimentation, and among the city’s best. Patrons cook their meals in a hot pot at their table, using top-notch ingredients, such as mini fillets of pork and chicken. The attentive waitstaff will prepare a dipping sauce if you look helpless enough. Best of all is the wide range of designer bubble teas, free with the meal.
