I used to live directly across the street from Rathbones, and was devastated when I moved further away because this bar is amazing. Though it appears to be a pretty standard sports bar, they have the friendliest staff and owner of any bar I've ever frequented in New York. They are really accommodating during sports games and will try to get what you want up on the TVs, have great food and drink specials all week long and have some of the best wings in the city. If you're on the Upper East Side, you must check out this spot.

Rathbones Pub & Grill has been a go to spot to watch sports on the Upper East Side for over thirty years. The staff is super friendly and make you feel like Norm from Cheers, even if it is your first time there. You can chose from the usual pub grub at Rathbones, but there are a few stand outs. Philly cheese chicken sandwich and open face grilled cheese with tomato are two great sandwiches. For dinner, they offer fish and chips, homemade sheppard’s pie and even chicken parmigiana. Don’t forget to go there on Wednesday, for world famous wing night. $.25 buffalo wings and $3.00 Coors Light drafts, now that’s a deal!
