Connecticut lobster roll is perfection. Went to the Montauk, NY location recently but have also been to the Red Hook location and I'm obsessed.

Served with a pickle so you get a little side already... BUT I also ordered the homemade coleslaw which tasted amazing. In Montauk, there are cute picnic tables to sit at outside of the busy shop. How GOOOD does that look? The paprika and scallions on top make it so much better!

The best lobster roll in New York. No questions asked. There are a few locations, but you want to go to the original and make a day out of Red Hook.

You get the Maine lobster roll. You get a side of fries, a pickle and coleslaw. You can get an app (I like the boil and peel shrimp), but save room for your main event. I don't care if you're on a no-carb diet, you need to eat the roll the lobster is served in too: lightly toasted with butter. Don't even think of getting it wrapped in lettuce. There's a time and a place for that, but it's not here.

They have really good cocktails and beer options too, and Steve's Key Lime pie with fresh whipped cream is always a great way to end the perfect, easy summer meal.

Make sure you check out the bathroom before you leave. You don't see too many that have beach chairs in them.

This is the best Lobster roll in the city. They've actually got several styles of roll here, including the buttery, warm Connecticut style, and the the vinagrette-y, probably invented by them, Tuscan Style. Get them if you want but only if you're getting two. The move is the Maine-style roll. It strikes an excellent balance of mayo, spice, sea, and most importantly, buttery bun. They use only knuckle meat, which is said to be the sweetest, and they top it all of with a hit of lemon. You won't do any better outside of Maine.

I never go to Red Hook with out getting a lobster roll from Red Hook Lobster Pound. It's delicious and one of the cheapest lobster rolls around. Plus, Red Hook is like a mini sea town, so there's no better place to enjoy an authentic lobster roll. They also have other awesome lobster items, like lobster mac and cheese that's hard to ignore.
