Sardinia natives Andrea Mocci and Giovanna Fadda have converted a former Brooklyn Heights deli of the same name into this quaint, sunlight-bathed spot, specializing in traditional dishes from their island home. Malloredus sardi alla campidanese presents traditional short pasta with a tomato-and-sausage ragu, while a charcuterie-and-cheese sampler arrives on taglieri—imported handmade wooden trays. The trim wine list includes bottles from all of Italy, with an emphasis on Sardinian selections.

A full-on amazing discovery right on the end of our block. We go to this intimate place at least once a week. Excellent tuna and pastas, authentically Southern. In Brooklyn Heights' limited dining options, this is a real gem that still feels like a secret. Cash only, decent prices.
