Done up like a romantic, weathered pensión, Sala offers well-executed pintxos (tapas) and raciones, the larger appetizers (you can order any pintxo as a ración). Try moist sea bass with balsamic-topped duck breast on thick, crusty bread, or Segovia-style roasted lamb shank on a mound of fried potatoes. The lounge downstairs (which becomes a throbbing DJ den Wednesday through Saturday) has Morrocan-style benches. The young clientele looks fresh off a shuttle bus from 93rd and York—though we did spot some Saturday Night Live cast members one recent Sunday.
