The perplexing slogan of this modern Italian eatery, part of the adjacent Wyndham hotel, is “Save New York.” But San Rocco’s dull and soulless food contradicts its heroic motto. Mushy calamari in a thick Chef Boyardee–esque tomato sauce is what passed for seafood "soup." Potato-stuffed ravioli were topped with crunchy, undercooked squash, and osso buco, while sufficiently tender, tasted bland. A better credo if considering a trip to this aggressively mediocre spot: “Save your money.”
