A shame. The look and feel of a real bakery, traditional in the good sense, but in reality this place is a trap for tourists or naive visitors of Chelsea Market. I was offered a choice for bread with my (not really excellent) omelette, chose then the "sourdough".... was brought toasts made of the most basic and boring yeast bread. When I told the waitress, I believe in a friendly and truly polite manner, they should not name that sourdough, she called her "boss"... I do not know who that old unfriendly lady was but she pushed whole grain bread at me without even accepting the comment. Clearly not customer friendly and bread quality on the low end of what you find at the average supermarket down here in Europe.
Sad experience. Bad image for NYC.
