Career changer Zachary Schmahl—who transformed himself into a food entrepreneur after losing his marketing job—built a successful online cookie business before opening this Hell's Kitchen bakeshop. Sweet tooths can choose from cookies in funky flavors, like red velvet, peanut-butter cup, and gluten-free sweet corn with cranberries and pecans. Also on the menu: sticky buns, milk shakes and granola-and-yogurt parfaits.

Get the confetti cake cookie. There is an intense amount of sugar in it, but it's delicious, and includes salt crystals that make the cookie all the more savory and enjoyable.

I love Schmackary's! Best variety of cookie flavors that I have ever seen, and I really like all of them that I have tried. Others must feel the same way, because the place has more customers everytime I'm there.

A destination place in NYC!!! . Schmackarys will go with the phrase "if you did not vist Schmackarys at 45th St and 9th Ave, you didn't see NYC" Love it!!

THE BEST store in HK! Coffee is amazing and the cookies are DELICIOUS! I have been waiting for something like this in HK! We are so lucky to have a home-style store in our hood! The staff is SO nice and treat you like family!

Employees unhelpful and not very competent. I found out that the employee packed marshmallow topped cookies at BOTTOM of box making a huge mess and ruining other cookies. The shop has a poor selection of cookies at 10 am, and had far less selection than the website advertises. Cookies tasted good, but not worth all of the positive press that lured me to the store.

Congratulations on the storefront! Your cookies are the best I have ever tasted. Feel free to expand to Chicago. :) I especially loved the oreo and red velvet cookies. All the best wishes for a wildly successful business.
