Takeout isn’t just for the home! Getting delivery to a public park is a New York pastime, and a great way to try new restaurants when you’re eager to relax outdoors. Just make sure you’re clear on delivery instructions (near a particular corner of the park is most considerate to your delivery person) and request any utensils you’ll need so you can enjoy your meal!

Located on the Upper West Side, Two Wheels offers top notch Vietnamese takeout. Start with spring rolls and green papaya salad and then add on your choice of pho, banh mi, Vietnamese crepes and rice or noodle bowls. An option for Earth-friendly packaging also gets you more of your order in fewer containers, so you have less post-picnic trash. So efficient! And tasty.

This fast casual dim sum spot is the ideal delivery restaurant for a beautiful feast in the park, either solo or with a group. Choose from dozens of small dishes including steamed dumplings (like har gow and siu mai) and rice rolls, plus fried treats like spring rolls and turnip cakes, baked buns, soups and more. Samplers and a kids menu help you order quickly without too much decision making.

Scoring a seat at this buzzy Jamaican restaurant is no easy feat, and that’s where takeout comes into play. Place your order for wood fired flatbreads, red peppa jerk chicken, braised oxtail and a side of sweet plantains for the perfect park feast. Marsha P Johnson State Park is also nearby if you prefer to dine on the water.

A park this grand deserves big flavors and that’s where local mainstay Krupa Grocery comes in. The full menu is available for delivery including appetizers like risotto balls and blistered shishitos, plus entrees such as flat iron steak with horseradish aioli, broccoli and cheddar chicken sausage with grits and vegan chicken fried tofu with pineapple.

Takeout from this Greek diner is always a good idea—and portions are generous, so you’re likely to have leftovers! Salads, souvlaki and gyro are all on the menu, but a big group can dig into the mixed grill platter which includes lamb chops, loukaniko Greek sausage, grilled chicken,  pork and chicken souvlaki, and beef and lamb gyro along with french fries, tzatziki and pita bread. It’s a grilled feast you don’t have to cook so you can fully maximize your park time.
