Top Chef contestant Angelo Sosa dishes out Asian-inflected comfort food at this casual eatery. The bright 74-seat space is outfitted with a shiny orange bar, graphic yellow-and-white tabletops and brown bubble-letter signage. Tween texts seem to be the inspiration for the eye-crossing menu of "eatz," featuring "sandwich’z," "taco’z," "burger’z" and "sweet'z." Once you get past the social-media shorthand, choose from Far East twists on homey American classics, like baby back ribs marinated in mesquite-smoked tamarind, burgers seasoned with lemongrass and topped with chili-mayo, and tilapia tacos flavored with Thai chilies. To drink there are Asian brews (Beerlao, Lion Stout, Taiwan Beer) and creative cocktails, including a riff on the Manhattan, which mixes bourbon, elderflower liqueur, yuzu and sriracha.
