A classic railway diner is the last thing you’d expect to find in the industrial canyons of Tribeca, but the Square Diner is no mirage, and neither are its old-fashioned prices. Ply your family with standard diner food—burgers, sandwiches, salads—and Greek dishes like souvlaki. Kids (and grown-ups) can indulge in a thick milk shake or root beer float. Be warned: The early-rising staff give themselves a well-deserved break on weekends, when they close up shop at 4pm.

the square diner has high quality food and a wide selection of choices to choose from. there is a quality of nostalgia when you dine there. the décor and taste is worth every penny!
carlos and heavy set Spanish girl speak Spanish a lot. carlos makes comments about people walking outside the restaurant, on how this man does not come in anymore. he also says white people are plain looking. carlos and the heavy set Spanish girl make comments about cutting up the fruit for the parfait. one time I ordered the parfait, there was so little fruit on it I ordered one banana after I got it, the heavy Spanish girl made it. the heavy Spanish girl says the fire department is weak but does not say what is weak about it. Sammy, tony, and hose have nothing to do with this. the heavy set Spanish girl is there at 7:00am with carlos. if your revenue is down at the restaurant this could be why.
