Sicily native Giuseppe di Franco, formerly the manager of Gradisca, is behind the stove at this Bed-Stuy trattoria. Expect simple small plates loaded with cheeses, cured meats and roasted vegetables, along with a few seasonally changing entrees, such as lasagna with a beef-and-pork ragù, and gnocchi with basil and fresh tomato sauce. The votive-lit space features a white cedar bar, exposed brick and works from local artists. Don't forget to grab a bottle of wine on the way: The joint is BYOB.

I'm beyond pleased I came across this place.
The bartender greeted you with a smile and friendly personality, conversation came easy.
Chill interior with dim chandelier lighting, candle light and wood burning light from this awesomely crafted brick oven. There's no shortage of art on the walls, and the back patio is incredibly charming with genius scaffold-plank bench work, Christmas lights and real grape vine growing around the entire area.
Complimentary bread & delicious olive oil.
Prosciutto Arugula pizza prepared by the owner was absolutely amazing. Giuseppe truly loves what he does and passionately described the art of the pizza process starting from his imported Italian ingredients.
An exceptional experience from start to finish. You'll make new friends sitting at the full bar and a new place to call "My Italian Spot"!
