Formerly called Mi Mexico, this Harlem spot has migrated in name only; it still attracts locals and students. The menu is basic: the usual tostadas, quesadillas and enchiladas. The seafood options—mojarra frita (fried tilapia) and caldo de pescado (catfish soup)—are good, if a little pricier than you might expect. But for a dollar a pop, classic Latino artists like Lola Beltrán, Pedro Infante and Luis Miguel boldly accompany your comidas. We’re glad to say the search for Best Mexican Jukebox ends here.
