Bolstering the Upper East Side’s burgeoning drinks scene, this antiques-accented gastropub is more upscale than your standard schlock jock sports bar. Victorian elements (such as salvaged crystal doors and century-old cathedral glass) contrast with industrial touches (like exposed Edison bulbs and steel bifold doors). From the 40-foot-long bar, tapsters pour out well-priced potables, including Irish brews and brown spirits. Grub is similarly Gaelic-leaning, with comfort classics like shepherd’s pie and burgers hooded in Irish cheddar and basted eggs, nicely complementing large-headed pints of Harp.
