Staking the claim for one of the best doughnuts in New York City, is The Doughnut Project.

When they first opened, it was intriguing to try their beet and ricotta. At first, I didn't like it but having had it again for a second time, my palate was blown away how delicious it is. It's an unusual combination but it works. The magnificent magenta color also stands out. Since my first visit when they opened, I've had so many of their doughnuts, I've lost count. They even have frozen doughnuts (fronuts, frodos?) and the cold brew one is seriously amazing.

They're always making some of the most interesting flavors such as partnering with cocktail bars for a series of cocktail-inspired doughnuts and iconic NYC restaurants for dish inspired doughnuts. There have been really great doughnuts such as the Black Gold and the Everything Bagel one to name a couple. It's honestly hard not to not like the doughnuts here. Try to get there early so you get the flavor you want because the selection does rotate.

Happy eating and remember: Don't deny, satisfy!
