This new Astoria restaurant might be a skinny little spot (though it does open up toward the back) but for what it lacks in space, it makes up for in big-hitting flavours from a very readable menu. The crab-stuffed tater tots have got a lot of people talking but bacon-wrapped scallops, lobster ravioli, ribeye steak frites and sides of mac and cheese, lime green beans and three cheese broccoli look great, too.
Still, much of the draw here is down to its beer list. Expect eight on tap (think Ballast Point Sculpin IPA, Big Alice Honey Wit and Smuttynose Old Brown Dog), more by the bottle (including Dogfish Head Burton Baton, Lagunitas IPA and New Belgium Flat Tire) and a few quality options in cans, too – including a belter of a grapefruit beer from Germany (Schofferhofer Grapefruit Hefeweizen).
