The Malt House embodies an old fashioned American tavern, with its exposed brick walls, picnic table–style seating and reclaimed wood bar. A rotating selection of 40 beers on draft and another 15 or so in bottles offers plenty of options for the suds lover, while booze hounds can mix and match their own whiskey flights ($30 for your choice of four). The food menu includes a wide variety of options, from beloved bar snacks to sandwiches. Start with bites like mac and cheese ($13), braised pork sliders topped with tempura-fried onion rings ($14) and panko-fried white cheddar cheese curds ($11). Entrees include a wagyu burger with hickory-smoked bacon ($18), a blackened salmon po’ boy ($18) and duck shepherd’s pie ($24). Lighter meals like a baby kale caesar salad ($14) and garlic chicken orecchiette ($22) offer something for healthy eaters.
Executive chef Armando Avila formerly of STK and Five Napkin cooks up American themed classic-comfort dishes. Sourcing all of his food locally and sustainably guaranteeing the freshest foods whenever possible.
Join us nightly, beneath the underbelly of NY in The Armory Cocktail Parlor featuring over 200 American Whiskies, 40 draft lines, and a rotating list of historically themed cocktails.
