This place was PACKED on Saturday night and we were very lucky to get two seats at the bar, otherwise I would definitely suggest making a reservation! But the wait was worth it! I didn't love spending $17 on two beers, but the food was very tasty. I loved all the different guacamole options and our seat at the Ceviche bar even let us watch them make it! I also loved that they have a robust vegetarian menu! I got enchiladas which were tasty, but I'll definitely ask for less spice next time! The staff was SO friendly they made SURE we got our table as quickly as possible and were attentive even though they were slammed. A great little date spot or stop by for dinner after checking out the museums!

Toloache is a chic upscale Mexican restaurant in the UES, which isn't necessarily home to a lot of nicer Mexican food joints. Though you have to pay a lot (definitely worthy of 3 $$$ rather than 2 $$), the food, drinks, and service are definitely worth it. The restaurant is very cozy with a nice liquor bar and guacamole bar (both with plenty of seating) and a small back room. Perfect for a date night, family dinner, or girls night out.
