Traif

Chef-owner Jason Marcus (Le Bernardin, Eleven Madison Park) may

be Jewish, but as his Williamsburg restaurant—named for all things not kosher—attests, he’s far from opposed to pork, shellfish and other no-no’s. While some of his rule-breaking dishes reflect his Semitic ancestry (like steak with king-crab béarnaise sauce and potato latkes), others will take a more global perspective, such as crispy pork belly with kiwi, papaya and a Thai-chili vinaigrette.

Traif is another hidden gem I'm obsessed with. We came at like 10pm with a group of four and were immediately enamored with the menu so we opted for the testing menu so we could try more. We LOVED everything they brought out, our reactions were so insane in fact that they brought out additional courses because we were so outrageously happy. The staff was awesome, so knowledgeable and we were so happy to let the chef drive our experience. Also went back a few weeks later for brunch, very good but not as incredible as dinner but amazing to know its an option.

Absolutely delicious! Order everything, but they do park exceptionally well
