The pies at Tuck Shop, an unpretentious Down Under café, are filled with minced beef, chicken or tofu and make an excellent midday snack or late-night booze sponge. Meat lovers can add a sausage roll, a light pastry shell filled with pork and sage. The grub is cheap enough that you can top off any meal with the requisite dessert—sticky-date pudding or lamington, a tasty jelly-filled sponge cake rolled in chocolate and sprinkled with coconut.
