The sweets at this bake shop are almost too pretty to eat—think rich chocolate cakes covered with elaborate icing flowers.

Thank goodness I no longer walk by this bakery on my way home ever day- I didn't have the discipline not to go in each time- Everything is great, but some of my favorites are: The keylime pie (only make it on fridays and saturdays in the summer), the chocolate silk pie, blueberry pie, apple crumble pie, banana cupcakes, and the chocolate pecan pie. Enjoy!

As much as I love them and have been going for years.. There are always long lines that go super slow and then half the time they don't have that many cupcakes to pick from (depending on the time of day). They sometimes have cinnamon rolls that are some of my favorites but again half the time they don't have them.

I use to go all the time as I mentioned but really don't go as much any more because of the above mentioned. Long lines and not much to pick from has been keeping me away. I wish they would work it out.

I would have given them 4 stars if no

Even before the extension of the 2nd Ave Q line, this bakery has been a must go to destination in the Upper East Side. Patrons come from near and far for their red velvet cake and cheesecake. They have a great lineup of other goodies too, like cupcakes, pies and cookies, oh my! It’s quite a small shop that runs a tight ship—you’ll want to know what to order before you hit the register. They also have a few tables for some instant gratification.

I cannot wait for my friend's birthdays because that means I'm going to Two Little Red Hens again! One of the top 5 bakeries in town if you ask me. They'll personalize anything that you get for free as well!

This tiny bakery is an Upper East Side institution, and basically the best place in the area where you can cure your sugar cravings. Besides offering amazing baked goods, Two Little Red Hens has a quaint setting, with American style décor, and friendly service. They have hand crafted cakes in delicious flavors such as Brooklyn blackout, red velvet, carrot, lemon and coconut. If you are more particular about how your cake tastes, you can choose your own cake flavor, filing, and frosting. You will also find decadent cupcakes, pies, and real New York style cheesecake. During the holiday season, this place is extremely busy, so be sure to get your order in early.
