This popular artisanal ice-cream chainlet got its start as a pair of roving trucks. Its second brick-and-mortar location, a sunny café in Boerum Hill, is outfitted with black-walnut tables, pendant lighting and a glass-paneled facade. As at its other stationary shop, you'll find ice creams, Intelligentsia coffee and fresh-baked pastries. New at this outpost: creamy milk shakes.

I scream Ice Cream!

And with the whole Green Matcha Movement happening, Matcha Ice cream is the next step!

Way to Go Van Leeuwen!

Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream is winning with their vegan and traditional options, plus, they've got such unique flavors rolling out from Brooklyn. My two faves so far are the infamous Honeycomb and Earl Grey flavors--ugh, they're so smooth and creamy, I'm guilty of getting a pint for myself!! Toppings aren't necessary.

What I also like about this brand is their recent expansion; now I can get my fix at Whole Foods Market anytime!
