The wawa here refers to a phrase that translates roughly to “Come! Come!” Do so and you’ll be rewarded with cheap, reliable Korean home cooking. Chef Donna Lee’s dishes stick close to the classics: bibimbap, soft tofu stew and bulgogi, sliced beef over vegetables and rice. Wawa makes maximum use of its minimalist space with plenty of counter seating. And the forgiving menu is light on the belly and the wallet: no fried foods, and nothing more than $10.
