We sometimes want to relive our childhoods through food, but we now have adult taste buds to please. Owner-cook Jay Strauss resolves the conflict with his brand of designer school-cafeteria food. Westville makes a great hot dog; the juicy, beefy Niman Ranch wiener comes on a bun that’s got body. Indulgent favorites (crab-packed crab cakes, BLTs with thick bacon) share menu space with satisfying salads (often made with organic greens). A blackboard heralds the day’s fresh vegetable sides—$12 will get you four. Friendly-but-harried servers might mix up your order, but they’ll also let you linger over mind-blowing butterscotch pudding.

Top choice for an easy breakfast. Great bustling atmosphere and a clever menu. Somehow makes you feel healthy no matter what you order. Personally I load up on the kale salad with generous chunks of bacon and poached eggs. Yum.
Westville is just a classic. When friends or family are visiting and they're a little picky and I'm feeling overwhelmed about where to take them for dinner, we go to Westville. It's a really cute place and the food is always well done. I eat meat, but I love the option of ordering 4 of their delicious and varying sides for $15. It's absolutely enough food for a meal, and if you're like me, then you'll love having a smorgasbord of selections to eat. The other great thing about this place is that although it has wonderful meat options, it is extremely vegetarian friendly.
Great spot in Chelsea for brunch on the weekend! Can highly recommend the mimosas and their salads are pretty awesome in the week too! Very chilled place but still has a great NY atmosphere.
