Wogie’s Bar & Grill
Wogie’s claim to having “New York’s best Philly cheese steak” rings true for the herds of twentysomethings who sit in the dark wooden booths to down cheap draft beers and eat various forms of the housewich. The reasonably authentic, surprisingly ungreasy sandwiches honor the young owner’s father, who was as passionate about Philly cheese steaks as he was about New York City. In addition to creations like the Pizza Steak (Provolone, onion and marinara sauce), there are classic choices of Provolone, American or Cheez Whiz (feel free to debate the merits of each). The basket of waffle fries (available with cheese and chili) is a key side dish.

Visited this West Village bar as I heard they're wings were fantastic.  A small bar, maybe 6 seats,  and tables are on the interior, with outdoor seating during warmer months.  The wings must be popular as the smell of cooking oil is quite prevalent inside.  They were quite tasty and the extended happy hour deals ran until 8pm, which kept the beers flowing.  I also had the veggie "garbage bread", which was similar to a calzone with vegetables.  Tasty as well.  If you are fan of things related to Philly, this bar is a good choice as they promote Philly sports and make cheese steaks as well.
