A little slice of East Village cool transplanted to Park Slope, Yamato offers appealing menu of straightforward sushi and fusion maki, served in a sleek dining room with chartreuse walls and slate floors. Mozzarella meets salmon in the Topo roll; the Yamato contains crisp fried eel, asparagus and mango. An appetizer of pan-seared scallops with black-truffle oil and jalapeño vinaigrette is tender and tantalizing, but on the whole, the raw is better than the cooked.
