Yamato

Time Out says

A little slice of East Village cool transplanted to Park Slope, Yamato offers appealing menu of straightforward sushi and fusion maki, served in a sleek dining room with chartreuse walls and slate floors. Mozzarella meets salmon in the Topo roll; the Yamato contains crisp fried eel, asparagus and mango. An appetizer of pan-seared scallops with black-truffle oil and jalapeño vinaigrette is tender and tantalizing, but on the whole, the raw is better than the cooked.

This has always been my favorite sushi restaurant. I absolutely adore coming here. The chef specials always impress me, the services is wonderful (they remember me every time I come), and my favorite dessert of all time is their green tea mille-feuille cake. If you're looking for amazing sushi or a fabulous lunch special, Yamato is the place to go.
