Drybar
This blowouts-only salon chain started as a mobile business, with founder and hairstylist Alli Webb traveling around Brentwood, CA, to style the hair of her friends and clients. Following the success of spots in the Flatiron District and Le Parker Meridien hotel, she’s added a third New York location. The girly haven features blond-wood floors, chandeliers made from bright yellow blow-dryers and 14 salon chairs surrounding a white marble bar, which is equipped with phone charging docks. Your 45-minute appointment begins with a gratis glass of wine, champagne, coffee or tea, followed by an invigorating wash and conditioning. Next, choose a blowout style ($40) named after a classic drink, including the sleek-and-smooth Manhattan, the loose-and-curly Cosmo or the beachy Mai Tai. Add-ons include Hair Shot conditioning treatments ($20) and ten-minute scalp massages ($10).

Great place to come if you're looking for a quick blowout, my experience here always varies depending on who I get. I have tightly coiled hair and always try to put a request in the appointment booking box that I need someone who is used to black hair, otherwise they're going to be in for a real treat. However everyone who I've ever gotten has been wonderful - they always have champagne available for you and whatever else you need. In face I'll be going back before a wedding I have next week!
