Although husband and wife Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia are best known for their high-end womenswear brand Sachin + Babi, they’ve also run a luxury home-goods brand, Ankasa, since 2007. The airy flagship is the label’s second NYC location (the first is on the Upper East Side) and showcases heavily embellished furniture ($2,250–$7,700) and chic housewares ($15–$200) in dining, living room and bedroom displays. Shelves are lined with Ankasa’s signature tie-dyed linen pillows ($140–$200) and versions featuring elaborate Indian-style embroidery ($540). There’s also a nook for kitchenwares such as champagne flutes ($20), silver-and-cork salad servers ($50) and embroidered napkins (four for $100). Toward the back, you’ll find bedding, including washable silk coverlets ($400–$1,725) and large fur-trimmed floor pillows ($695), as well as gift items such as white-lily- and black-currant-scented candles ($65), and votive holders ($20–$60) made from carved rocks.
