After outgrowing her tiny East Village shop, designer Kathy Kemp moved her womenswear boutique eight blocks north into a chic space that’s almost double the size of the original spot. The store is named after Kemp’s grandmother, who taught her how to sew when she was 13 years old. Whitewashed brick-and-cement walls and striped chiffon curtains serve as an airy backdrop for her eponymous line’s locally produced dresses ($145–$265), skirts ($150–$375) and tops ($68–$188). Gals can find timeless colorful silk dresses ($179), vibrant convertible jumpers ($245) and striped cutout frocks ($198). Denim wrap skirts ($175) will look fab paired with either multicolored tops ($127) or structured shirts ($172). Don’t forget to peep the one-of-a-kind baubles, such as Renee gold cuffs ($170) cast from pinecones.
