Bryant Park’s 17,000-square-foot outdoor rink is free and open late. Don’t get too excited—the admission may be gratis, but you have to shell out $20 to rent skates (or BYO). After your time on the ice, warm up at spacious rinkside restaurant Public Fare and do your holiday shopping at more than 125 shops.

Really nice park, well maintained, manicured and varied for the seasons - during the winter, there are pop up shops, and an ice skating ring, as well as numerous food vendors. The Bryant Park Christmas village stands out, as the storefronts are well constructed, and the traffic flows through easily (though it still gets crowded). As always, the park is very convenient located near the center of midtown (and accessible by most modes of transportation).

The queue gets very long so I suggest waiting with a cup of coffee and a friend. Bring skate since it's free but it does get extremely crowded on the weekends, even in the afternoon and more so until the evening.

The seasonal winter village takes over Bryant Park, complete with mom-and-pop holiday shops, eateries and full size ice rink. The rink itself is the perfect alternative to the often crowded Central Park and Rockefeller Center rinks. Best of all, for those that have their own skates there is no charge to skate there. All others are responsible for a skate rental fee. Although the Christmas tree pales in comparison to the famed Rock Center tree, the views of the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, and other midtown landmarks make Bryant Park's Winter Village the perfect stop during the holiday season.

The BOA Winter Village at Bryant Park is magical. The vendors are delicious and delightful and the atmosphere will put anyone in the holiday spirit.
