Local jewelry designer Jules Kim’s first store, located just below the boutique Eva New York, showcases her unique handmade baubles ($200–$1,300). Descend below the street through trapdoors into a velvet-roped basement hideaway, where you’ll find red walls draped in velvet theater curtains and lit by pink fluorescent lights. Gold jewelry ($400–$7,000) is displayed in a vintage aquarium, while the rest of her collection is tucked away, to be brought out upon request. Uncover imaginative one-of-a-kind pieces, such as a silver three-finger serpent ring ($312) and a triptych three-charm medallion necklace ($1,248). All designs are customizable, including a bird-skull nail ring ($1,000) covered in rubies and black diamonds.
