Natural skin-care creators Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas opened their first store since starting their business in Bordeaux, France in 1995. The shop’s decor takes inspiration from its French roots, with potted grapevines, farmhouse windows and a beauty bar that resembles a large wooden-barrel bath. Those in a hurry can stop by sans appointment for a free ten-minute facial or a one-on-one consultation to create a customizable exfoliator ($20) made out of different parts of the grape plant. You’ll find decadent products such as the crushed cabernet scrub ($29), which combines grape seed with herbs and essential oils, anti-wrinkle serums ($44–$150) and nourishing moisturizers ($25–$45). One percent of sales are donated to One Percent for the Planet (onepercentfortheplanet.org), an organization dedicated to environmental protection.
