You could easily spend the whole day in this massive 36-year-old vintage boutique, stocked with preloved ladies’ and gents’ clothing, shoes, jewelry, ties, lingerie, hats and even wedding dresses from the ’20s through the ’80s (and organized by decade). Along with a buyer, owner Jack Markus and his wife meticulously choose every piece from local and overseas vendors, making sure the garb is clean and well taken care of. Prices aren’t exactly rock-bottom: Day dresses run $50–$75, shoes average $80–$150, and beaded party tops will cost you $100; but you’re sure to find something one-of-a-kind, like a 1970s V-neck pleated dress ($60) and a 1960s floral maxi number ($70). The fact that many of Carrie Bradshaw’s quirky fashions on Sex and the City came straight from this shop only adds to its allure.
