Time Out says

Booze nerds, clear your schedule: The Manhattan Cocktail Classic festival (May 13–17; manhattancocktailclassic.com) is upon us once more. Tickets are still available to some of the classes and parties that make up the boroughwide celebration of spirits and mixology, including the opening-night gala at New York Public Library ($150), as well as this Brazil-themed blowout hosted by TONY's own Dining & Libation Society. Sip five specialty cocktails—including a Brazilian caipirinha—with Food & Drink editor Jordana Rothman and brand reps from Leblon Cachaça and Chartreuse. A welcome shot of green Chartreuse will get revelers loosened up for the festive dance party, fueled by a live samba band and dancers in full Carnaval regalia. For a break from the moving and shaking, hit up a churrasco station dispatching smoky, meaty snacks like grilled pork loin and shell steak, and dig into passed hors d'oeuvres like shrimp ceviche and fresh vegetable crudités.
